I’m still waking up so i’m still in somewhat of an excessively fowl m00d.
Too much over humanization of the animals in that sequence, integrated with solem/sad music. ALL just designed to produce an emotional response in order to provoke some motivation. Try doing it with plants ok? Try emotionalizing plants. If you can, then you MIGHT make some progress towards actually understanding the motivations behind other forms of life. When you think of animals, too easily you right away go into HUMAN emotional mode, which does not AT ALL apply to anything but humans.
The animals would not just give up. No. That is another straight up fucking emotional bullshit manipulation. Humans are the only ones on this plant which really do have the ability to CHOOSE to surrender, even to death. Not that we all do, most of us would fight until the end, eat one another to survive, do anything it takes, but we can choose not to.
THEY, the naturalized flora and fauna of the earth, will not, and will never, by their design.
If we, humanity, all surrendered and let ourselves pass, then they, on their own, would stand a chance.
The polar bear was pushed.
Well there’s an emotionally provoked response, just, not the one the movie short was intended to. =p
