Probably the closest thing to a bad experience would be one day where I had to attend work placement but had been more unwell than usual. So I had booked a taxi to pick me up from Westmead railway station at a certain time, roughly 7:30am I think (and a return trip in the afternoon) to save me the 15 min hobble. Waited at the station, no taxi. Waited a half hour past its due time, no taxi. Walked to work anyway (didn’t bother them, they weren’t paying me). End of shift, a taxi pulls up outside for me. Different company than the one I had contacted – the original never showed up, and the missus had called through to another place to ensure there would be a taxi for me.
Trip took about 20min and not much change from $20, since it had to drive right around the hospital (at peak hour). Think I’ll keep dragging myself along on foot.
What, you paid money for this?
