Hi All,

After 3 weeks in sunny (and not so sunny) Vietnam, I’m back from an outstanding holiday.

There’s no real way to distil 3 weeks and a whole country into a single post, but point-by-point:

  • Traffic traffic traffic… scooters mainly. Crossing the road can be a challenge.
  • Said traffic also contains kamikaze bus drivers, and some trips don’t bear remembering
  • Our trip was sometimes just moving from one meal to the next. When $5 will get you three delicious and fresh courses, you will gain some weight. Plus a beer for less than $1 helps it go down.
  • In a clear violation of Rule 51, the Mue Ne sailing club serves a delectable chocolate martini
  • Do visit Hoi An if you have a chance… an oasis of calm in between the big cities. This is a panorama from our hotel window (it looks even better in full size)
  • Ha Long bay is something out of another world – not to be missed
  • Sa Pa is very cold and a long way up in the mountains, but it’s all worth it when you get this view for $12 a night (another stiched together panorama… no other editing applied)

But after all it’s good to be back. We were exhausted at the end, because we were on the move so much. See y’all around.

L.

What servers have updated to the new patch?

Both GA Server Now Padman V1.2

Looks like most or all servers are now V1.2
I did a bit of pleading to gamearena at
http://www.gamearena.com.au/pc/forums/561/thread.php/4574240

and would you believe they responded and updated the servers… SHOCK

Cya in there…

Remember me? perhaps not but i have been looking on with interest ..grats on your wedding :) the nam looks good Lucky u .. i have never been outside of oz :P ..good to see u didn’t get kidnapped or anything :P well im out and congratulations on your marriage all the best for the years ahead of you!

ltmon's picture

Hey

Certainly do. Thanks for the congrats, and the Nam was a blast. They don’t tend to kidnap people much often over there, so you should get yourself on a holiday. Airfares are the most expensive part… from then on you can live on < $1 meals from streetside cafes :)
