Game Arena Rush ladder
Pinge-
It is with great pleasure that we announce that the much awaited GameArena Rush Ladder has now opened up for signups.
Several weeks ago we opened the GameArena forums up to the community, to gauge interest in the mode and a rule set for a Rush ladder.
Since then we’ve had a lot of interest from teams and individuals and also much feedback from the community on all of these points.
The Rush ladder was always going to be put together from the earliest days of the games release as long as we could find a way to score and police a ruleset for the game.
We believe that the input from the community and the efforts of the Admin staff and the Ops, we have a ladder that players of all skill levels can play in and enjoy and are not overly complicated with stuffy rules.
The major differences between these rules and the Conquest ladder is in the scoring and the mode.
The ladder is called the “Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Rush Ladder”.
Here are the key things you probably want to know about the Rush ladder:
The Rush ladder will be 8v8.
The Rush ladder will not allow the use of the “Carl-Gustav” recoilless rifle.
The Rush ladder will disable 3D spotting.
The Rush ladder will enable Friendly Fire.
The scoring will be done by counting the number of mcoms destroyed during a round.
The Defending Team (highest placed on the ladder) will choose to go attack or defence in the first round.
Each match will consist of 2 rounds (one attack and one defend round).
The game can end as soon as the second team has scored more mcoms than the first team scored. ie if team A scores 3 mcoms then as soon as team B scores 4 mcoms, the match can finish.
The Rush ladder Season 1 is open for sign ups and will remain in Freeplay for a few weeks to iron out any bugs.
The Rush ladder will probably go live sometime in October and probably in the early part (Oct 2nd is a possible date being looked at).[/list]
