Round 1. of the AUS vs NZ tournament will take place on 13th March (next thursday) between 7:30 and 9:30 AEDT / 9:30 and 11:30 NZ

If we have enough time we will run a few maps, maybe even a whole campaign for practice to get back into the swing of things then end with an actual match.
The match type will be Verus (each team gets a chance to play the 4 maps from the campaign as both survivors and infected) the winner being decided by the game’s progress/points system.

Please leave your choice of campaign in the comments and/or any problems regarding availability. If a team cannot field 4 players from their country, players from the opposing country can be subbed in on the condition that if they win, the sub or subs will take a percentage of the points back to their team. For example, if Team NZ field 3 Kiwi players and 1 Australian player and win, 2.5 points (25% of the possible 10) will be awarded to team AUS. If people would like to request an earlier or later time please feel free to do so.

If you have not been chosen to play in this match, don’t panic! Round 2 (most likely next week) will be another L4D2 match but on Survival rather than Versus.

next Thursday evening on account of availability. It has also been brought to my attention that silent is not a Kiwi (who knew..) so Team NZ need a player with L4D2 to step up for their country or we will have to field a dirty Australian sub!!
Pretty sure L4D2 is reasonably priced these days anyway, so I would get a hard copy as not to exhaust your internets so early in the month :P There are quite a few maps and patches to download after all.
Don and Killer in particular, if you love the Walking Dead you will LOVE shooting zombies with us in L4D2.

Well against adversity, exploiting of the piss break, silent not having a mic,being a man down, and while not requiring it – playing an NZder on our AUS team!
AUS won!
Head held high – I like to thank Matt, Robag and silent (and in my opinion the best player of the match, Me) for their dedication and training that went into the walloping of NZ!
I’d also like to thank Micro for allowing “a dingo to get his baby, while a shrimp was on the BBQ (listen to the match video and you’ll understand)….
I’d like to thank fuzz for his notice of non availability!
And the hired goons who gaged and bound n0mad so he couldn’t play (and shoot cars and set of alarms)

Lastly while we lost points for playing micro, we won’t complain, we will just note that there was no way NZ would have come back the 800 points to win (noting that 800 was the max score without multipliers of the map) – we will just say ggs
We pounced on top of, licked, spit, swallowed and vomited our way to deadites bum victory for AuS
