Case: Robag brought up a fair point about the Case to me the other day. He thinks they’re not great on cooling and ventilation and could be a contributing factor in why I’ve fried my last 3 graphics cards. Like you, my last couple of PC’s have used that case or P182/80. The graphics cards in these systems each lasted a few years (this ones on 4.5 like yours, but is definitely on its way out).
Was thinking on my next PC I may end up getting a diff case. I haven’t really looked at other options yet though.
I like the minimalist design of those antecs. Plus the focus on minimising noise.
Graphics card: I’d go the GTX 1080’s. The 1080TI has just been released in the states, and theres fairly major price drops for US stock of the 1080 non TI. If you could hold off a bit, I’d say the price drops will filter through to here. They’re still over the top expensive now.
