I have to agree with Fuzz with the Server thing
and LT don’t forget the “turn based FPS” quote for the GA forum :)
to spite the shite server I think the match went well
Objective 1 GDF Defend (generator)
once the turret and the supply pack drop from LT (ta LT) it made it pretty easy to cover the generator
having a medic up there was very handy as well
One thing that helped with the cover on the first objective was the cross fire that was setup between the roof and the
window facing the Generator
and of course nades nades and more nades
Objective 2 GDF Defend (Mining Laser)
once again the turret placement was very important
mines mines and more mines as well as the supply pack close
I think the supply pack just down the hill a bit, out of the way of fire
when I was on the hill with the GPMG the fact that I could not finish them off
when they were on the ground did cost us, I saw about 5-6 revives.
A clean out with a shotgun or assault rifle will buy us more time and force them back to there spawn point
The cover provided by the Engineers + mines, was vital for the Hold at the mining lasers
Objective 3 GDF Defend (Salvage)
The gpmg on top of the truck trailer was a great spot
It took them about 2 minis to figure out I was there
If we build the tower we may be able to slow them down on the run from the Mining laser
hassling the planters with air strikes and suppressing fire would be a good tactic as well
Controlling both the inside and outside spawn points, in a stopwatch match this can help wind down the clock.
One choke point that Tap got court out on was the main stair case, heading up to the main hallway to get the inside spawn point.
A good cover point is the landing facing the inside spawn
finally being able to push them back out of the main set of balconies was key to us holding the salvage room
great team chat from Fuzz and Ltmon to keep us informed as to the status of the Salvage Room
great work from HP, n0mad and Johnny the (Obj-Whore) :) to clear the main balconies, to keep Tap out of the Salvage room
There was one point there where Tap managed to own the Salvage Room. A coordinated rush kept them from planting.
The one single biggest thing I saw during the match was that we were fighting as a Team. that I feel is what won it for us :)
