Carmageddon style mod for ET:QW in development

Now this sounds like an interesting mod for ET:QW.

About the mod: http://wheelsofwar.colsoft.biz/page.php?4

Interview with the developers: http://community.enemyterritory.com/index.php?q=node/205

If there’s one game I really miss from the early days of IPX networking – it’s Carmageddon. Racing is fun, but the fun of that game was the game modes you could play: Fox and hounds… hmm that’s the only one I remember. But basically tip where you’re “it” and you need to make someone else “it”, the reverse where you need to become it for X mins, plus plenty of other fun modes. Solid granite car. Anyway, hopefully something good comes of this mod.

The only negative I can see so far is it looks like they’re taking the wimpy route of Carmageddon 3 and using zombies instead of people. But really running people over was fun, but you got over it in a minute. The game really shone in its game modes and terrible handling (which really did help – it would have been no fun if you didn’t spin out on the simplest of turns when you were about to win).

Looks good!

Fox and Hounds…. Nothing better then an arsy tip which flung you to a completly out of reach location which allowed you to watch the other 4 cars run into the walls in fury while they attempted in vein to touch you…

Bash INSERT now
